#TEDxKL is happening in 2 days, missed #TEDxBKK session at #BarcampBKK3

Daniel @CerVentus told me that TEDxKL is happening on 3rd of June, 2009 and he’s gonna give a talk. How cool is it, I’d really love to come over to KL, but during the week, I can’t make it.

There was a #TEDxBKK session at #BarcampBKK3, I missed it though…. it was scheduled at the same time as CMS showdown, I was wondering which I should join, finally I decided to join TEDxBKK, but when I get the room it was over, I missed 30 min!

Anyway, I’m kind of excited that this kind of things are happening around south east asia. The power of these countries are so cool, but hot! I see many interesting ideas, and people make it real. People just try, not like just talking the negative situation if it’s failed. Maybe it’s because most of the people I know around here are young, not much to loose even if they failed, they can go next.

I always get impressed when I see the presentations on TED.com, how can everybody talk like that in front of bunch of people? You don’t have anything to hold, standing on the stage and just talk about your idea.

I love the concept “Ideas worth spreading”. Some say that spreading ideas too early time, it could be stolen by someone and you can’t make money, yes, it might be a part of truth. However, spreading ideas could make the ideas more exciting, you can get feedbacks and think about it more.

Maybe spreading somewhere like TED.com is good, because you are speaking in front of bunch of people, and filmed. If anybody steal the idea, everybody know it and you can call it collaboration :-P

Since I got know many people around south east asia, I really feel like these area is one big community. Maybe we can make TEDxASEAN happen.
